I believe every person has the desire to create something. Photography is the outlet I use to satisfy that desire. My tendency is to see the world as shapes and patterns. Photographing people makes me apprehensive. My desire is to become a better photographer by challenging myself: to see the story, to see light and shadow, to see color, and to face my fears.
I believe that less is more. For photography this means I try to stay away from gear-oriented discussions. It also means ‘constraints enhance creativity’. This means that I limit myself by the gear I choose. The result is, in overcoming this obstacle, I will be more intentional, creating better photographs. To this end, I shoot mostly with my LX3; though I will pull out the Pentax should the need arise.
